Foreword from the Board Chairperson

On behalf of the Cookhouse Wind Farm Community Trust, this year has been one of the remarkable one in terms of delivering a Trust that represents and reflects the ideals enshrined in the Trust Deed. We have built a solid foundation in the governance and administration of our operations.

Our commitment to good governance is further evidenced by the Trust achieving a clean audit since 2014.

The Trust prides itself as a leading Community Development Trust and strives, in collaboration with various partners and stakeholders, to transform the lives of the four beneficiary communities.

We have consistently made a call and worked hard to attract partnerships to enhance our efforts in achieving socio-economic development for the area. Agreements signed in the period bear testimony to the commitment of the Trust to our mandate.

The Trust’s programmes span multiple areas of community development. Through these efforts, we continue to touch lives across the spectrum, from learners and teachers to parents and other members of the community. Our investment in the future of young people should yield long-lasting results that positively impact the fabric of society.

I would like to thank the communities for their keen interest in the work of the Trust, providing a conducive environment for meaningful development that addresses the realities experienced by the beneficiary communities. We can only build on these achievements as we together strive for broad-based socio-economic development and empowerment for the beneficiary communities.
